Special Session

Town Council

September 17, 2026

The Special Session of Council was called to order by Mayor Kenney at 3:05pm with Councillors Laurie Smith, Irene Baker, Max Kenney and Louann Link present.

APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA:

Being duly moved and seconded the agenda was approved as circulated.

Motion carried unanimously.

NEW BUSINESS:

Recommendations from the Planning Committee

The Planning Committee recommended to Council to amend Schedule ‘B’ of the Land Use By-Law to include PID 82551599, Bruce Atkinson’s Boatbuilders Limited (Gremonds Holdings Limited) a marine services and equipment operation as this was inadvertently omitted when the Land Use By-Law was established 2011 and to delete PID 80068869 as this was consolidated with PID 80068885.

Being duly moved and seconded, Council agreed with the recommendations of the Planning Committee and set a Public Hearing date of October 20,2026 at 6pm to conduct the First Reading of the amendment.

Motion carried unanimously.

As there was no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 3:25pm.

The Special Session of Council was called to order by Mayor Kenney at 3pm with Councillors Laurie Smith, Irene Baker, Max Kenney and Louann Link present.

APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA:

Being duly moved and seconded the agenda was approved as circulated.

Motion carried unanimously.

NEW BUSINESS:

PAC Appointments

Three candidates from the Town was considered for the Planning Advisory Committee, Russell Atkinson, Judith Maxwell and Trudy Quinlan.

Council appointed all three to the Planning Advisory Committee and the three Councillors are Mayor Clay Kenney, Max Kenney and Laurie Smith.

Being duly moved and seconded the appointees and Councillors/Mayor were appointed to the Town’s Planning Advisory Committee.

Motion carried unanimously.

As there was no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 3:10pm.
