Town Council
October 01, 2024
The Regular Session was called to order by Mayor Stoddard at 7pm with Councillors Irene Baker, and Louann Link present. Councillors Russell Atkinson and Trudy Quinlan was absent.
ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA:
The volunteer supper to recognize our local volunteers and those of the Municipality of Barrington was held at the West Head Wesleyan Church community room. Councillor Baker, seconded by Councillor Link, motioned to donate one hundred dollars ($100) to the church, motion carried.
APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA:
It was moved by Councillor Baker and seconded by Councillor Link that the agenda as well as the addition be approved as circulated. Motion carried unanimously.
APPROVAL OF THE PREVIOUS MINUTES:
It was moved by Councillor Baker and seconded by Councillor Link that the minutes from the previous meeting be approved as circulated. Motion carried unanimously.

REPORTS:
Streets, Sewers and Unsightly Premises:
No report available.
Recreation:
The Town Christmas Party and Breakfast with Santa was discussed with tentative dates of December 6th and 7th, respectively, locations to be determined.
Building Inspector Report:
No permits were issued for the month of September.
Mayor/Councillors:
Mayor and Councillors shared their activities and meetings attended since the last regular meeting of Council.
CORRESPONDENCE:
All correspondence was shared with Council, only that requiring a motion will be added to the agenda.
NEW BUSINESS:
In the event that a Provincial election be called, the Town was asked if they would rent the Heritage Hall building for at least eight (8) consecutive weeks. Council Baker motioned, seconded by Councillor Link, that they rent the hall for nine thousand dollars ($9,000), motioned carried.
