Each set of minutes are separated by a horiztonal line. 2268 Regular Session Town Council August 11, 2021 The regular session of Town Council was called to order by Mayor Stoddard at 7 pm with Councillor Quinlan, Councillor Link, Councillor Baker, and Councillor Atkinson in attendance. ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA: Pumpkin Weigh off Barrington Exhibition APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA: It was moved by Councillor Baker, seconded by Councillor Quinlan to approve the agenda as circulated. Motion carried unanimously. APPROVAL OF THE PREVIOUS MINUTES: It was moved by Councillor Quinlan and seconded by Councillor Link to approve the previous minutes. Motion Carried unanimously. APPOINTMENTS: None 2269 MATTERS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES: Cenotaph Ideas Councillor Quinlan, Councillor Baker and Mayor Stoddard shared their ideas for the upgrade of Cenotaph. REPORTS Streets, Sewers and Unsightly Premises: Public Works Report was presented to Council. Staff has asked if there can be a spray bed liner put on the truck. They find the box liner in the truck is scratching the paint and compost is getting behind the liner and they are not able to clean it well. It was mover by Councillor Baker and seconded by Councillor Quinlan that they go ahead and get the spray liner installed. Motion carried , unanimously. Recreation: Day camp will be in the Clark’s Harbour August 16-20th Building Inspectors Report: July 4 permits $65,500 Mayor/Councillors: Councillor Quinlan and Councillor Link gave reports of recent meeting they attended. CORRESPONDENCE: Tri County Housing Coalition The Tri County Housing Coalition are seeking support from each municipal unit to volunteer a representative to be part of this group. Each councillor was given the letter and asked to contact the Clerk if they wished to be a part of this group. 2270 NEW BUSINESS: Fisherman’s Memorial The Fisherman’s memorial will take place once again this year on September 19th @ 2pm behind the town hall. Line Painting and Plowing Mayor Stoddard has been in contact with the Minister of Transportation to see if we can jointly work together on the line painting and plowing of Clark’s Harbour main street. Clark’s Harbour Policies Each councillor was given a copy of the Town Policies and asked to review for any changes that may be necessary. Changes and updates will be done at next council meeting. Additions to the Agenda: Annual Pumpkin weigh off Discussions were held about the Clark’s Harbour annual Pumpkin \Squash weigh off competition the date was set for October 3rd behind the town hall As there was no further business at 8:05pm it was moved by Councillor Quinlan the meeting be adjourned. _____________________________ _______________________ Mayor Town Clerk |
